This user guide outlines each item of the Spatial Methodology Appraisal of Research Tool (SMART) and provides a description for assessment.
SMART is a quality appraisal tool specifically designed to evaluate the methodological quality of spatial research. The 16-item tool comprises four domains: (1) methods rationale, (2) data quality, (3) spatial data problems, and (4) spatial analysis methods.
